Mouse settings

I have Mandrake 9.0 installed and I need to change my mouse from 2 button to wheel mouse. I have went to HardDrake and clicked on mouse and config tool. Changed the mouse to wheel and hit enter-- nothing happen ( it didnt change the mouse to wheel mouse). I know my mouse works because if I choose wheel mouse at installation it works fine, but I dont want to have to reinstall Mandrake. If anyone could help me on this matter it would be greatly appreciated. ThanxThings are not always as they seem

You could forget drake's config util and do the job yourself by configuring /etc/XF86Config Do a search for 'mouse wheel XF86Config' and you'll find tons of examples of how the script should be configured.
You can read 'man XF86Config' to findout all the available mouse options in there (to fine tune the mouse to your preferences).
