Who is the maker of this board? It's not PHPBB and im guessing it's UBB. I have 6.2 of UBB. Is that the latest version of this board? I believe ive asked this before but what are some other FREE(not demos) bboards that are as visually appealing as this one?

Noooo, not Yabb. I have very painful memories of Yabb from a Diablo II board, posts were corrupted, others were deleted completely.... /me shivers.

Reminds me of stories I've heard from back when the site did use UBB, stories of the BRB that someone (Mandeep? I think that was his nick) used to hit from time to time to delete threads. That one sounded like it would have been fun... or not.

are you serious? People actually delete the threads even w/ out admin rights w/ ubb? Damn i got the full version free too. So whats the next best free board? PHPBB possibly?

It was an older version of UBB. It had gotten fixed before the boards went over to vBulletin, but it did exist for a while. I don't remember which UBB version this site was using, though, so I don't know if 6.2 has that bug. I also don't know how it worked, so I couldn't tell you how to find out. Maybe a PM to someone that was around then, asking them if they know which version fixed the Big Red Button? 11000, I'm pretty sure, was here, as was Strike, perhaps FoBoT, and actually, most of the mods.

Yeah, it doesn't happen anymore, but it did a couple of times, way back when.
