Welp I got Linux running..yea me..anyways, few questions here.
1) I have tried everything to get my printer to work, followed all the instruction and still nothing. I have a bjc4100..any help???
2) When I installed I booted of my cd-rom, which in turn was my burner, better back up here..its setup like this cd-burner is secondary master..and my 2nd cd rom is secondary slave. After install Linux only saw the slave and runs only off the slave..how do I get Linux to see my burner as master...also when i mount my cd-rom and copy files over i can not open the cd-rom after I am done..again any help...
Thats if for now..but I Love what I see and play with.

i believe you have to unmount the cd before ejection
this NHF should help some

for the burner deal, do a forum search
http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/search.cgi?action=intro
on "burner" under the hardware forum, it should give you bout 71 threads, see if one of them has some hints

Same set up, same problem. I haven't really checked into all the docs yet, just got it installed yesterday. On my PC, storm doesn't show my windows partitions either. The mount points for windows are /windows/c, /windows/d, and /windows/e. Does that seem right? I've never worked with debian before, only Mandrake. Also, what about internet connections? I had no trouble with Mandrake, but I can't seem to set up the dialer for Storm.

It doesn't matter what you call your mount points. You should be able to mount your win partitions with mount -tvfat /dev/hdXn <mount_point> (do this as root). If it works make an entry in your /etc/fstab so that you can mount it as user or have them mounted at boot.
