redhat 8.0 dvd help

i am trying redhat 8.0 and suse 8.1.
suse doesnt like my dell laptop that well (or i just dont know how to configure linux yet), but redhat loaded no problem. but then i read that redhat isnt supporting mp3 or dvd. and thats a problem for me. is there any way that i can get redhat to play dvd's? please help i am bored with windoz and want to learn.

there is a patch for rh 8 for mp3s.

if you install ogle or one of the dvd players, and follow their directions you should be able to play dvds.

all they have done is omitted the mp3 decoder and the encrypted dvd decoder libraries from their distro.
