usually google is my friend and can lead me into the land of software_canaan :) But i am stumped...i found some rpm drivers for my old voodoo5 agp card; yet i need the source file to get them installed into slackware 8.1---or so i think? Anyway if anyone who knows of where a schmuck like me could get any v5 src drivers for linux ....i'd be pleased to know where i overlooked them.

btw, mandrake 9 does detect and install v5 drivers...so i assume they exist for linux; i will look into extracting them from man9 to use with slackware8.1.

Regards and thanks in advance,

xhrl

Never needed to look for them myself since I don't have a Voodoo.

Anything on the Xfree site ( www.xfree86.org ) on the Voodoo and what versions of X support the the v5?

I would think the version of X included with Slackware 8.1 would have the voodoo drivers. Have you checked the X documentation installed with the product? /usr/X11R6/man
