Another Samba Problem

[tomlow]

trying to install samba.
smb and nmb status not running
/ect/rc.d/init.d/smb start I get 2 ok`s
/ect/rc.d/init.d/smb stop I get 2 failed`s
testparm says everything is ok syntax wise
log files pretty much say same thing
lib/util_sock.c :open_socket_in(824)
Get_Hostbyname: Unkown host mylinux.box (name of machine I am having
problems on)
Help please

I am not sure if this will solve your problem but have a look at the host file and see if you have an entry connecting your ip to the hostname.
