Hi,
I got a Logitech cordless mouse and keyboard for Christmas and haven't been able to get the mouse wheel to work. I've tried every piece of advice I could find on the web but haven't had any luck. The best case was when I modified XF86Config to use a 5 button mouse with zaxix being buttons 4 and 5. In that case the mouse did nothing. The worst cases were when I tried alternate mouse drivers such as imps/2. In all those cases the system hung and had to be powered down. I've tried downloading imwheel but gave up trying to compile it. I also used xev to monitor the events generated by each of the buttons, as well as the wheel. The buttons generated the expected events but the wheel was depressingly silent. Can anyone help?
