SIOCSIFFLAGS: Resource temporarily unavailable?????

What does this message mean??? I get it while trying to "ifconfig eth1 up" If I "ifconfig eth1" then I get all the messages and stuff, but when I try to bring it up....

This network card (eth1) uses the same module as eth0. They started touching on that subject in another thread, but the problem wasn't what I was having.

I had a similar problem like that but it seems your is happening for different reasons so I can't help. But you may want to try editing the /etc/network/interfaces file if your running debian.

I'm running Debian. What should I change in that file???

And also, what was your problem when you got this message???
