I normally stay away from KDE, but my friend had his up and running and one of the themes he used allowed his pull down menus from the panel to be transparent. Is there a way to do this in gnome without a theme. I don't want to change anything in my desktop except make the menus transparent.

He was using High performance liquid, Mosfet only makes that for KDE. sorry. www.mosfet.org

hhmm..I ran into this earlier but haven't tried it yet. Would the pulldown menu also reflect this or would it just be that horizontal bar. The pulldown menu is what I'm interested in. Will give it a try anyway.
