Easy Duron.. It is a better chip IMO. Plus, from the reviews I have read it has overall out performs the Celeron.

Duron is much better value/performance.. but if they were both the same price I would get the celeron(s) if you can do dual. But hell, spend the extra cash and get a 900mhz duron..

Most software isn't writen to fully utilise dual processors. If you are just making an e-mail server, go with what ever is cheap. E-mail servers don't require alot of CPU power. Your money would be better spent on memmory. Get a cheap celery or PII or Duron.

If you were building a web server with Apache, then I would say, go with the dual celeries. Apache will make better use of dual processors (every page request is forked, the forked proc will run on the either CPU).

What ever you do, don't waste your money building a nice desktop system, and then use it as an e-mail server. Just pick up the classifieds, and get a P-166 for a couple hundered dollars.
