Ok, this may be very simple, and I may feel like an idiot after I figure out what's wrong, but I am having problems with a number of file transfers.
Whenever I try to receive files in IRC, for some users, I receive files fine, but for other users, I connect, but the file never sends. I've tried three different clients, *****X, KVIRC, and XChat. Every client acts the same as the next, in respect to which users I can receive files from and who I cannot.
Also, in Netscape, I'm having problems receiving all of some files. Like, it will start, but then halfway through, it will stall, and won't finsh. When I go back to windows, to try from the same servers, it works flawlessly.
Now, for my system.
I'm running Mandrake 7.2, have yet to add any sort of firewall, or anything to /etc/hosts.deny . So basicly, I am using a default config for Mandrake 7.2. And I still have these same file transfer problems.
If anyone at all, has any idea of what might be happening, if you have a minute, tell me what you think please. I have no idea where to go with this, but is annoying the hell out of me.
