Choozo 09-19-2001, 02:59 PM Was there no installation instructions whatsoever where you downloaded the drivers? Did the files come with a README or INSTALL text file, after you unpacked them? nuevoenlinux 09-19-2001, 03:09 PM Ok, I already unpack the files and it said this: 3. Edit the Makefile to suit your system (SMP, CPU type, etc) 4. Type the following install commands: If you have an 8830-based (Vortex 2) card: make install If you have an 8820-based (Vortex 1) card: make install20 If you have an 8810-based (Vortex Advantage) card: make install10 There is no need to reboot. Note: if you get "unresolved symbol" errors during the install, rebuild your kernel with sound support (soundcore) built in (not a module). Now, I saw the makefile but how do I edit it?
