What is a good audio application to use? Can I get it through dselect? FYI-I have Debain. Also, I just use line command---no desktop manager? Where is a good place to pull mp3's instead of Kazaa or something like that?

giFT with giFTcurs is possible. I've had a lot of trouble with it but it is cli.

I remember a deb package a while back, but they aren't releasing packages themselves. The debian mailing list had an itp (intent to package) in it, but I've forgotten links (full format of my system)

check sourceforge.net and search for giFT. Get the files through cvs and then compile them and you should be alright.
