Ive just had a scan done and I have a couple of ports open. The first is 6000 which the tester says is X11 X Server. Im told to run XHost.
The second port is 3128 I have just installed squid. Im looking at anonymity on the net and Im told Squid is the way to go. But Im a newbie so Im just going into it slowly.
Where can I find Tutorials that will show me how to secure these ports and how to make myself anon with squid.
Thanks in advance.

You could start with the Security NHF's (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/security/index.html), web searches and possibly the docs and how-to's at www.linuxdoc.org (http://www.linuxdoc.org)

Or if you really wanna check out some high profile stuff, go to neworder.box.sk or blacksun.box.sk

Good Luck
