Can someone tell me how to change the refresh rates in drake 8.0. I'm using a geforce 2mx card. If the font gets any smaller I'll need a magnifying glass. I have a 1/2" border that needs to be changed to 75mhz.

You might try increasing some of your font sizes.
Go to Kmenu->Configuration->KDE->LookNFeel->Fonts

If you're using XFree86 4.0.3 then you can edit your "/etc/X11/XF86Config-4" file to change the refresh rate or the resolution. Backup the file before you make any changes of it.

Near the bottom you'll see a line like:
DefaultColorDepth 24, that determines which of the following color depth lines is used, the first resolution in each line is the one that's used by default.

To increase the refresh rate you can increase the following settings, what to increase them to I can't really say. I just increased mine until my monitor starting running at 85hz, any semi modern monitor will automatically shut itself off if you set the settings too high but don't hold me responsible if you somehow blow it up :)
