wireless help plz.

i have redhat 8.0 and linksys wireless 2.4 ghz PCI card. I downloaded the linux-wlan-ng-0.1.14.tar.gz, detarred it, cofiged it, made all, made install. I edited the rc.local file to fit my needs. But it still doesn't work.
when I do lsmod i see prism2_pci mentioned.
when I do ifconfig i see lo, and wlan0.
If i try to modprobe eth0 it says no such device.
I can't seem to get there to be an eth0.

i am not sure why..last night i installed Mandrake 9.0 om my old IBM thinkpad w/ wireless. Setup detected my wireless card automatically. but i didnt install it during setup time. during install i cancelled network configuration. completed the setup w/o network. after rebooting i configured the network from control panel. then with in few mins i was online w/ wireless.

BTW i am using CISCO wireless card so i think Mnadrake 9.0 had required drivers for it. make sure u hv correct drivers for ur linksys card.
