Does anyone know how to setup this mail client....Kmail....i cant find any docs on it....And the manual does not tell me anything at all...it is kinda ...hmm sucks.
Well i can send mail but i cant recieve anything...i can send email to myself from my computer....
I am behind a Linksys router....I have forwarded 110 to my PC but....aI dont think it is the router.
I am not sure if it is the router or Kmail config...that is I might not be putting some value where it needs to be...
What does host mean....in the Incoming mail config part....Does that mean the mail.blahh.com for the mail server...

If you want help click "help"->"contents"
The top of the contents looks like this:
2. Getting Started
2.1. Setting your Identity
2.2. Setting up your Account
2.2.1. Properties
2.2.2. Sending Mail
2.2.3. Incoming Mail
2.3. Testing your Setup
*shrug* looks pretty simple to me but here's my short explanation.
Under network in configuration are the options.
smtp is for sending mail, it will be something like mail.home.com or whatever your service is.
host in the account settings is for recieving mail. It will usually be the same as for sending.
When you click check mail and there are no errors then it's logging into your mail server correctly.
If you can send yourself mail through an external mail server and receive it then your mail should be working properly.
Kmail is a great mail client, full featured, fast and rock solid stability.

I would suggest you dont touch KMail. Thats bcoz it runs Python scripts and if not now, but sometime later may prove dangerous. Probably when Linux virii take birth!

I read about security problems with outlook all the time, meanwhile I sit back and enjoy my immunity to all that crap while I use Kmail. It even includes a simple checkbox to turn html on and off, which I turn off.
