Since I don't have aol running on my Reh Hat 7.3 Linux, what application is used to connect to the web using a modem? Is configuring a modem easy with Linux? Any ISPs have Linux versions to hook with?

1. Open nautilus by choosing it from the menu or by opening an x terminal and commanding [phil@fancypiper phil]$ nautilusAlternately, double click on any icon you can find called "Start Here"

2. Navigate to "Start Here" (if you're not there already) in nautilus by clicking "Go" in the top menus and select "Start Here".

3. In the right hand pane of nautilus, you should see a monkey wrench/screwdriver icon labled "System Settings". Double click that.

4. In the right hand pane, you should find the "Internet Configuration Wizzard". Double click that and set up your connection.
