ssh for a newbie

Could somebody write me up, or point in the direction of a quick and dirty faq on setting up ssh on my computer....ei. being able to ssh into this machine from work, my other computers, etc.

Have your tried, from the console....................

man ssh

we could do that, but there is SO much info on the net.

Do a google search!!

basically you just need to ssh username@machine.name.

Then enter your password. You can also create key's etc so you dont need passwords....O'reily has a great book dedicated to ssh (snail book)

First of all thanks for the tip on man ssh...I didn't know that I coud do that.


I have done a google and havent got much good luck
