I really need to get my soundcard to work in Mandrake 7.2... my sound card is a CMI8330 (onboard). i've been using HardDrake to try and configure it, but it doesn't recognize my card. it thinks it's a CMD 8338 C3D Audio card, but it's not... i have a listing of all the IRQ's and such, but when i enter them into the isapnp file, it still doesn't work... is there a file i can maybe download that will add my card to the harddrake list? or can i just type "SOUND_CARD = Work.or.DIE" in some script somewhere?.... please help me... before i can go entirely windows free, i need my sound to work!!!
also, when i try and run the soundcard, i get this error msg:
/lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/cmpci.o:invalid parameter parm_io
/lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/cmpci.o :insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc.cmpci.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/cmpci.o:insmod sound-slot-0-failed
