resolv.conf Disconnects from internet

Don't understand why, when I change the nameservers in my resolv.conf file from my isp's nameservers to my own ip addresses for my nameservers I can no longer connect to the internet.

Ok, instead of removing your ISP nameservers, just add your OWN nameservers above them.

This way, it'll query yours first, then if it fails, then it'll query your ISP's.
