I've noticed a few diffrent people asking about connecting to AOL through linux. There was never a good answere, other then: "It's not possible." Well today I am stuck on my Uncle's home computer, and he connects through AOL. So I thought I'd do some reaserch and see if there is a possible solution. After browsing some message boards, mostly at Cnet, I found mention of a program called Aolip. I did a search for it at Freashmeat and sourceforge, nothing. So went to Google next, and found some German pages on it, can't read german. Finaly I got directed to linux.org, who would of thought to look there?
When I did a search for Aolip, I found this program: AOL Tunnel IP Client. This program will supposedly allow you to log into AOL under Linux. Now I haven't tried it, becuse thank god I don't have to use AOL. But I hope it will help some people who do have to use it.
