hi everyone
my lfs system is almost done all i need to do is add rpm supportso that i can install my accelerated-X
so what i did was follow the rpm_glibc22 hint at
http://hints.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/rpm_glibc22.txt
what this stated was that on glibc 2.2... based system one would need 2 installs of DB
db.1.85 and db-3.1.17
i followed the guide word for word and only 2 things have gone wrong
first problem poped up during the generation of a key pair with gnupg this is what i got
gpg:keyblock resource'/root/.gnupg':File Open Error
gpg:can add keyblock file '/root/.gnupg/pubring.gpg'
key generation Failed : File create error
gpg: cant create '/root/.gnupg/random_seed':no such file or directory
what is up here i checked to make sure i had /dev/urandom and /dev/random which i do
it seems no matter what i do i cant give it enough bytes
any ideas here
secondly at the end of the rpm install i have sevral messages about rpmpopt i am copying the messages now but there be alot of them anyhow when all is said and done i still cant open rpm's any ideas??
was somthing forgotin in the guide am i missing extra package's this thing has me a bit confused
oh if i were to install rpm via tgz would that work better than the source?
