I want to try out quake2 and tuxracer et. al. under linux, now that I've actually got a computer that'll run it nice. I'm just wondering how?

I downloaded and installed the nvidia drivers from the nvidia site, in mandrake 8. everything works fine, an nvidia logo shows up when X starts(X 4.0.3)

I changed the driver in XF86Config-4, and added "Load "glx"", but open gl stuff such as tuxracer still won't work, and quake 2's looking for glide libs, but glide is for voodoo, isn't it? or is there glide for geforce cards too?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
