This is specifically related to LINUX MANDRAKE 7.2. During the install process when it tries top resize my windows partition, my system just locks up. I am bringing this here after a week of no response to a thread i posted on the mandrakeuser board. I assume that i will have to partition my hard drive manually and then try to install it to that partition. So should i buy some partitioning software that supports dual booting and do it that way or is there another way? I appreciate ne help anyone can give me. Thankyou.

There is a utility called fips. It will chop your windows partition in half and then you use fdisk to remove the chopped partition
and then install mandrake.

Just search for fips on http://www.freshmeat.net

Hope this helps
