Anyone have a Linux network taht communicated via wireless? What sort of software should I be looking into? Will wireless connectors contain the software that is needed?

Probably not, most vendors don't think about linux when developing drivers..... I have read about people having wireless set up for linux, so you should be able to do it......

You should only need to find a driver for your hardware, which as I said probably won't come with your hardware, but there is probably a driver written by someone else that might work....

dude, I use the linksys wireless router and the wireless bridge, works great!

Basically you put a nic in your linux box as normal. Then you plug a short ehernet wire to the linksys wireless bridge, that pass's the packets to the wireless router.

its not as elegant , and its def. not as cheap as having a straight wireless NIC, but it does the job well.
