I dont' really understand what happened so I hoped that one of you might be able to explain the following. One day I wanted to start my cs server for a while and noticed that it couldn't connect the the local listing. So I tried browsing the internet, but I couldn't. I just remembered that shaw came in and gave me my new client id and a mail server address...so I changed everything that was necessary and saved the network settings. It gave me an error message saying that my eth0 isn't working.
I have no clue why it's saying that, but it does work in win...so I tried reinstalling suse, but that didn't fix the problem.
If anyone out there could lend a helping hand...well could just help me out that would be great
thanx

You have SuSE too? I have SuSE 6.3 and i cannot even get my dial up modem or my display working properly, i am not even dreaming of getting my NIC card or my ADSL connection working at this point, and i am really disappointed that i posted a message with a valid question and nobody even bothered replying to it, if i was you i wouldent really be counting on a reply with a solution...

I'm getting a little sick of you complaining you haven't received any help yet to any of your questions. This is after all a free service and we do not get paid for the many hours a day we spend attempting to help others.
Have you even bothered to search for an answer to all your questions? Your modem could be a winmodem and reading some of threads on modems, you should have known that by now.
If you don't like it here, stop complaining and get lost.
Personally I get fed up of answering the same questions over and over and over again. Hint Hint.
