I am having some trouble with Mandrake 9.0 on this computer, it works fine on my older computer but it freezes everytime on this one. So I want to try Red Hat 8.0 instead to see if it works better on this computer. How do I safely uninstall Mandrake? I have Windows XP and alot of ducuments on here that I don't want to lose. I know I can just delete the Mandrake partitions but I'm afraid I won't be able to get back into Windows because it boots into the loader that came with Mandrake.

Just start the redhat install and select the same partitions for / , /home, /usr etc... and then make sure you choose to format those partitions.

Redhat will recognise the windows partition and setup the dual boot for you the same as Mandrake did.
