I am trying to connect to a RH6.2 box thru my winnt machine.
I have rexec enabled (uncommented) in the /etc/inetd.conf, i made sure that rexecd is installed (at least i think it's installed. locate rexecd returned this:
/usr/man/man8/in.rexecd.8.gz
/usr/man/man8/rexecd.8.gz
/usr/sbin/in.rexecd)
I have tried using exceed and xwin32.
both of them are set to display the messages returned by the host. both exceed and xwin32 both return this:
linux:Where are you?
Linux is the hostname of the linux machine (creative huh?).
I have looked at the man pages for rexec, and rexecd and they don't offer any clues.
Do any of you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Dr. Strangelove
