does anyone else have this problem?
first of all, i'm using
Mandrake 7.2
Helix Gnome w/sawfish
AbiWord
And Mozilla
(these arent the problems)

the problem is when i use mozilla or
abiword. When i try to scroll down the page by pressing down( on the keyboard) a few times, it scrolls slowly but it catches all my clicks (on the button) and just keeps scrolling even after i've stopped pressing down. So it does this and it scrolls pass what i was trying to see so i press the up button and it still keeps scrolling down. when it stops scrolling down, it starts scrolling back up ( i guess because i was pressing up alot) and scrolls pass what i wanted to see again. Its so damn annoying. I have to use my mouse if i want to scroll around or else it'll do that.
any fixes?
konqueror and kword never did this.

I'd hate to say the simple answer to this but....press the down (and up) buttons less?

This isn't going to be helpful, but i'll post it anyways. (I'm on a mission to reach a 1 star rating.) :)

I've noticed, and mentioned to a couple mozilla people in IRC that Mozilla has one really annoying flaw. It seems to slowly be resolving itself, but it might be the major part of you problem. The flaw is that Mozilla tends to wait till it has downloaded most, if not all of a page, before it will let you perform an action on that page. Annoying, yes, but relatively easy to put up with, you'd think. Unfortunately, the problem is worse with more windows open. If you're anything like me, you tend to have two or three browser windows open on different vitual screens, at the same time. So it does take some time to get used to mozillas quirks, and get al feel for when to do things. It's still annoying though.

Best advice? Be patient, and don't be so key happy. :) BTW, mozilla should release version 0.8 around wednesday or thursday, so that should help, as the recent builds don't suffer from this problem as much, load faster, and are an order of magnitude more stable than 0.7.

I want to try galeon but they don't have rpms for mandrake yet.
I tried to compile the sources but... i forgot why... but it wouldn't start up.
