Xprotocol 08-26-2001, 09:05 PM Partitioning is really up to the user. I can't tell you what partitions you need to make. It all depends on what the computer will be used for and just how picky the user is. The reason Linux wants different partitions is so that you can format one to upgrade or change a distrobution and keep all your special data intact. The simplest setup would be a 128Meg swap partition with the rest on root "/". More than one person going to be using the comp? Make a /home partition. Theres all kinds of options. I reccomend reading some documentation to find out what will best suit your needs. justlinux.com
