Well I was playing with some themes (Liquid, Keramick) and somehow messed up my KDE settings. I'm using RH 7.3 with KDE 3, and now whenever I do a startx it brings up xwindows, but it's just a terminal window, nothing else. No desktop or startup menu or anything.

Basically I'm just wondering if there's a way to get back to all of the default settings without reinstalling the os. I don't know if this helps, but I only tried setting up the themes for my user account, not root, and even when I do a startx when I'm logged in as root, it gives me the same deal.

Yep, I did. It can't find it (not a valid command). I tried su and find -name startkde* and it came up with nothing.

Your missing a "startkde" file in your "HOME" directory.

and try some of these options. About halfway down the page. One should fit your situation. Remember to change the KDE to KDE 3 if that's what your attempting to start. If you have trouble with that go back to just KDE.
