Hi ,
i have this strangest of problems, i have a Compaq 1850R running RedHat Linux 6.1 (Cartman) Kernel 2.2.12-20smp. Its been running alrite for years now , i now had to change it's IP and other details , i used netconf to that and pow , the network card has suddenly died !!!:(
All it says is
ifup : delaying eth0 intialisation.
network : bringing upo interface eth0 failed.
It doesnt even flash a light on the switch or on the back of the network card ,
The machine has a onboard NIC :( and scsi hdd , cant transfer to a new machine very easily :(
can anybody help ?
