I installed Motherboard Monitor successfully. And office 2000 Premium. I get this error for MBM5:
file:/home/tross/.wine/fake_windows/ProgramFiles/MotherboardMonitor5/Dll/MBM.dll
Any ideas what this means and how to fix it?
And then when I try EXCEL.EXE or powerpoint or word I get a "preparing to install" which just sits there. Any ways around this to get office to work?
Thanks

I'm assuming your having no other problems with MOBO monitor other than the message? That's a call to the .dll when it starts up and not an error. That's common with some apps in Wine.
Here's an excellent sourcr for help with Wine.......................................

Well, I mean that MBM5 doesn't start up. It tells me that error about the .dll and then it fails because of an error "2". Whatever that is. I got Speedfan4.06 to install, load, and it works great, except that it doesn't want to read my LM sensors. I need to trick it into seeing the LM-sensors while operating in Wine.
I love WINE, except that I can't get anything to work right, just yet. It runs the apps, the apps just don't get along with WINE.

You might have a little trouble with any kind of hardware sensor or monitor running in Wine. The reason being that Wine, being an emulator, is running in a "Virtual Machine." There is not any real hardware for the monitors to monitor, so to speak. Wine should keep the hardware abstracted from the programs running in it.

Have you run Winecheck to verify your configuration?
