This may sound really dumb, but I'm curious.

If Mandrake 8 is installed on a second hard drive, will the boot loader make the relevent shortcuts etc. to the 2nd drive so that when you boot your machine up and get the different O/S options in thte boot loader if you select Linux will it boot from the 2nd drive?

If not, what would be the best arrangement for install on a 2 drive system?

Thanks :)

yes, you can install mandrake to a second (or third or whatever) hard drive, no problem. lilo or grub or whatever you choose to use should set everything up as is needed for booting, and the installer knows where the distro is being installed.
