I believe the only downloadable SuSe versions now are the 'live-demo' versions. You have to buy the boxed set from SuSe to install it to your harddrive.

Buying the boxed set will, of-course, keep SuSe alive, but you could also try Mandrake (equally newbiefriendly as SuSe).

Check out www.linuxiso.org (http://www.linuxiso.org) for your choice of distro.

Cheers :)

Hi,
I have SUSE 7.1 and was not impressed, so I too wanted to either upgrade or better yet download the 7.2 version..My search has found that you can only download a demo version in iso format for the PC platform..You can however download .iso's for sparc and others..The only 7.2 version you can DL is via FTP install and it leaves out most commercial programs...Looks like if you want it bad enough you and I will have to shell out cash..I'll stay with Mandrake and Redhat...Good Luck,JP

SUSE 7.1 is GREAT.

You can download iso's from the ftp server at

ftp.suse.com

it's down in /pub/ somewhere...
if you can't find it post again and i'll try to get back to ya!

7.2 is not available for download yet :(
