Wireless mouse and keyboard

I recently got an iConcept wirless keyboard amd mouse combo. While they work fine in Windows XP without requiring any special drivers, they do not work at all in Red Hat Linux 7.3 (2.4.18-10). The keyboard characters repeat twice so I cannot even log in and the mouse cursor remains frozen. Any ideas ?

I've just installed RH7.3 and I'm using Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical combo (keyboard and mouse) and I can say that both devices are working fine in RH7.3

are they connected to PS/2 ports or USB?

Both are PS/2. I do not know why the keyboard repeats whatever I type. If I type root, what I get is rroooott. Is the typematic rate a problem ?
