prob: i have downloaded the peanut.zip and peanut.bz2 and place them in C:\peanut dir right i'v made the bootdisk and the rootdisk my 40hd
is partition 4 way ntfs-winxp fat32-backup linux-filesis linux-swap
i booted for floppy and run ramdisk right run setup i choose install new
PL ---skip setup keyboard ---skip choose Partition witch is /dev/hda6 select swap /dev/hda7 choose reiserfs as filesis now to test peanut.bz2
start test error bad magic numbers and all??? now

Since you are receiving the error when checking the bz2 install file I would guess that you bz2 file is somehow corrupted and you will need to download again. Bummer.
Peanut can be a very nice little distro. There is a help forum at the Peanut website ( www.peanutlinux.org ). You will see some posts from The Linux Kid. He is the guy who creates Peanut Linux.
