Is there a GPL clone for MS Powerpoint files?

In terms of doing Presentations on Linux I like KPresenter. However, I don't think it yet reads MS Powerpoint files :( It's probably scheduled in for a future version, althought check out the details for the latest just in case.

Well, looks I can't look at the slides.

Star Office is probably the most compatible read MS slides.
