Has anyone used musicmatch jukebox for linux? It was what I always used in windoze, and in my opinion has the best library mgmt system of them all. I wanted to get some feedback before I get into installing it.
XMMS seems to have excellent sound quality, but is severly lacking in the library dept. I have something like 2000 mp3's to organize by artist, song, album, and track number.
What do you all think?

Yeah I've tried it a while back. It was using wine to run the program thus making it unnecessary slow.
There are several projects on freshmeat.net to build media libraries though (with mysql or webbased etc etc) . Have a look at those too.

Personally, I think it's easier to organize my playlist by putting the files in some sort of directory structure.
To each their own, I guess... use what works.

So we are now crossposting the same question under different topics in the same forum?
Once is enough please.
Try to make the moderators job a little easier so we are able to spend more time helping those that require assistance.

musicmatch is pretty but dog slow. I used it in my box and runs out of memory every time I try to load my whole collection. Use xmms. Not as pretty but much more effective. Get the skins from winamp if you want to make it look slicker.
