Can't type in password field

I'm using SuSE Linux 7.2 and since i had a short power failure I can't type in the password field on the login screen anymore..
I can focus it but when I type on the keyboard nothing happens. It's the same for every user..

Are any errors detected when you boot up your computer?

i just found out that i can type but it isn't displayed (no * I mean)..

not strange at all.. thats the way it is in unix. No stars or anything is displayed as you type in the password.

ah i found out how to fix this
you can set it up with the Control Center
