Hello folks,

I'm having a difficult time getting a KVM to work with Red Hat 7.1. It seems that Red Hat does not want to recognize my mouse when plugged in through the KVM. I've tried a Linksys KVM and an IoGear KVM and neither allow the mouse to work. I've also tried several different mice, and I've installed Red Hat 7.1 several times trying different mouse drivers.

Is this a known problem? Is anyone able to offer some advice? Both KVMs worked fine with Mandrake 8.0

Thanks,

r.

I've tried every mouse I own:

generic two button
optical Logitech
MS Explorer
Compaq wheel mouse

None of them work when plugged in through the KVM. All of them work when plugged directly into the computer.

What kind of KVM are you using exactly?

Thanks,

r.

I use a Belkin OmniPort and it ALWAYS works.

It is Linux tested.

Do you install RedHat with the KVM plugged in?
Try doing the opposite now...
