Sound Troubles

I just got SuSE Linux 7.1 Personal for eBay, but Im experiencing problems. I have Labtec 1040 speakers which are USB (dont require a sound card) but for resons of a Mini Disc I still have it in. The sound work on Mandrake 8, but I dont know why it isnt working now. Is there a KDE 2.2 update for SuSE? Or any other sugestions.
