setting up SB LIVE on mandrake.

I've installed mandrake 7.1 recently , in setup it detects my sblive value , but there's no sound in x , I used SoundDrake ,it detects and plays sample audio successfully , but when I click INSTALL , it brings "device not found : /dev/dsp" error message.
what should i do ?

as root type in # sndconfig <enter> Maybe there's somethin in there that will help.

Or run Lothar and have it re-detect the card.

Haven't used Mandrake in a while but I think thats right.

chmod 777 /dev/dsp
chmod 777 /dev/audio

you probably ran the setup as root, but tried to access it as a normal user.
