USB Zip 250 on Mandrake 7.1
seemed to work (once)only if no zip in drive on boot up?
--started usb with /etc/init.d/usb start
--when I tried to load the module(usb-storage.o) it said something about already loaded
--mounted (dev/sda4) (mnt/usbzip)
--Then it was saying something about not a valid block device?
But i'm a newbie also. I Don't really get it? Should I upgrade to 7.2? Or just the kernel or the module?

try adding the type to the mount command...

mount /dev/sda4 /mnt/usbzip -t vfat

Hi Thanks,
Yes, did try that.
Still getting mount: /dev/sda4 not a valid block device

I'm thinking to try out the patch for USB.
The Kernel which I am using. 2.2.15 has rather dodgy USB support apparently. This is according to a USB tutorial in the NHF section on this site.
So fingers crossed...

Yes upgraded the kernel to 2.4 and the zip is working well.

Now I just need to find a driver/module for my kazoo MP3 player.
