I used to make music in Winsux, but since I semi-switched to Linux, I am in need of some software. I used to use SF Acid Pro, and I want to have something along the lines of that, along with a loop creation tool. I mostly use wave format, but I can convert if needed. I would also like some kind of wave editor, like Wave Surgeon. If someone could help, I would be very happy!

For software, a good list is Sound & MIDI Software For Linux (http://www.bright.net/~dlphilp/linuxsound/).

Thanks, but I've already been through those sites. I'm looking for specific titles, so if you could help me there I would be happy. Something that can do the same thing as the progs I posted, in the same way.

I haven't used that program.

It sounds like you want to try wine (http://www.winehq.com/). Have you checked it out?

You might read through the O'Reilly article Creating Audio CDs With Linux (http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/532) for descriptions of several different audio tools and programs.

i'm actually in the process of porting fruity loops to linux...
fruity loops stores it's files in an open text format, so creating a program to read that shouldn't be too hard...
if anyone would like to help, be my guest.
