Hi there,
I'm about to install redhat linux 7.1 on my computer which has 2 partitions - one with windows xp and one which should be used for linux. I understand that if I choose 'server installation' that all partitions will be erased. So I only have the option of 'workstation installation'. The reason I would like to install linux is, however, that I plan to get my own linux box for web hosting, with root access etc. So my question is, would I learn sufficient linux from a 'workstation installation' as a preparation to get my own dedicated linux box?
Thanks
John
