Hey,
the way that i did it (i have windowz 98 and Red Hat 7.2): I installed Windows first on hda and then installed RH on hdb (i have done it with same HD multiple partition too.)

Normally Install Windows on one hda.

Slap in the CD for Linux.
Go through all your fun picking of your hardware configs.
When it came time to partition hdb for RH i chose automatically partition and not to install any boot loaders. This doesn't touch the MBR of hda (Windows HD). This, in turn, will automatically load Win on startup (like "normal") Then i just made a bootdisk (a screen at the end of the installation process comes up) Note: there is a command to make a bootdisk in bash (if you forget or can't make one from the CD) Try: /sbin/mkbootdisk (i'm in windowz now so i can't check)

The installation will reboot.

Configure the BIOS setup so that it will read the floppy during boot.(most likely its already done (just to be sure). Slap the floppy in the drive--> then boot and you should see the boot up for linux. Just type "linux" without the "s or wait and it should load with all the presets you've set up.

You don't want linux to boot? Just pop out the disk and reboot. Happy happy! Joy Joy

Any questions AIM or e-mail me (check my profile) --Hope this helped--
