im seting up my booting system
im looking at 3 OSes
windows XP pro, windows ME, and some type of linux (probly redhat cause ive heard good things)

this is my first time setting up more then one OS on a comp

i really need to be able to write across partitions. i know im gonna need atleast 3 partitions but is there away that like the ME one can write to the XP one and the linux one and stuff so that im not taking away power from my hard drive

i have a stuff on my comp i dont want to loose so i need a way to partition that wont loose my files and i also want to be able to determine the size each OS gets as there partition

Install XP on a FAT32 partition. Then ME and linux will be able to read/write to all partitions. The best windows application for resizing partitions without losing data is Partition Magic. You can also create your FAT32 and linux partitions before installing the OS. Linux needs a min of two partitions, one for the OS and one for swap.
