Is there anyway to get my settings in xvidtune to stay even after a restart?!? I have to reset the monitor settings every time I go in Linux. I'd change my monitor settings but then it doesnt look right in windows and I dont have a display changing program in windows. If there isnt a way to make it stay, is there another program I can use that will make it permenant?ThanksMikenell

I would like to know how to do that too... I know you can set the proper settings in your XF86config file but I have not played around with that yet.

You may want to try another method like, Xf86config, because i havent found xvidtune very effective anyway. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

You need to click "show" and then put that ModLine in the XF86Config file.

Show in XVidTune? I'll give that a try thanks. Does it matter where in the XF86Config it is?

Ok, I added that line to my XF86Config file and it didnt work, so I tried it a few more places and couldn't get it to work anywhere. Where exactly do I need to put it?
Thanks

Mine's set up like this. I've got this line in my 'monitor' section.Modeline "800x600" 40.00 800 840 968 1056 600 601 605 628 +hsync +vsyncand that's about as much as I know.
